I find your posts quite hard to answer because you go off on a tangent to try and justify your thinking by your "weird train of thought". Lol. . Talk about wearing blue tinted specs. You see what you want to see and cannot see any fault in Grealish, it comes across as though you're besotted by him.

I don't have any desperate need to diminish or denigrate any squad member from the treble/4 in a row. All I'm doing is criticising Grealish because this thread is about him. If he's playing well I'll praise him(and I have) but time and time again he disappoints and frustrates me because he has so much more to give than we're seeing, so I criticise him.

And the rest of your post is irrelevant twaddle to try and justify (yet again) your desperate attempt to defend him and justify his fee his salary and what he brings to the team. When he's played this season(and much of last season) he hasn’t done much, that's why he's been a sub more than start. And I'm not obsessed with goals and assists, but they are very important, especially for a high profile player. A lot more important than him us winning us a shed load of free kicks, right?
Luddite is purely dealing in hypotheticals, "we might not have won the treble or 4 in a row without Jack Grealish"

But if we're doing that you could also say we may have won more CLs if we'd kept Sane instead.
He's dealing in the unknown, I'm beginning to feel that he's winding us up and having a laugh :)

few of the better ones tonight.

his rare great moments like a goal today is sometimes just due to circumstances end up being useless. thats not against him but more like unlucky for him...

scores first today but we lose 4-2 in a horrible manner.
recall he scored a derby goal 1-0 up and we lost 2-1 I think?
was it the one where ref gave that huge Rashford goal on offside maybe lol

I think he's been a fair poster in other threads so I've been as polite as I can be without resorting to calling him/her a deluded fanboy/fangirl ****; )

Played well for 3 minutes then was part of the shitshow afterwards. Didn’t look happy either so not great. Still we are that bad at the moment that he gets man of the match for those 3 minutes so fair play to him.

Nice fella, Jack but he looks lost without better players around him.
I also think being left out of the Euro's has absolutely hammered him.

I was actually delighted that he got himself into the box close to the goal to score-he’s usually on his heels on the edge of the box. That aside looks miles off.

Let's be honest here, it was an open net finish and a pass that got cut out and bounced fortuitously for us, I'm not confident he had more than a dozen touches of the ball in total and we had less control of the ball in the second half than the first.

I give him all the credit it deserves for being in the right place to score though, I've always bemoaned all our wingers failing to get in on the back post often enough and into goal scoring positions so I always credit players that do that, 9 times out of 10 he's nowhere near to put that in so fair play, there's the proof of the results from doing it so he has to be doing it regularly.

He did help us defensively more than Savinho did first half but in return offered absolutely no threat going forward or in behind which in turn allowed Hakimi to be much more influential in attack.

I thought his performance was dross bar 5 minutes. We conceded 4 goals with him on the pitch. He didn’t look interested, looks out of shape and hardly even celebrated his goal. I hope both Savinho and Doku only have minor knocks.

Tidy finish from 4 yards, a sitter if we are honest but deserves credit for being there to put it away. Anonymous thereafter, didn’t look interested and looked a bit miffed even after his goal.

The control people have brainwashed themselves in to believing he brings has disappeared. The result is far from his fault but 4 were conceded 2nd half which is shocking from all 11 on the pitch. We need upgrades and fast.

??

Didnt he do a lenthy knee sliding on the grass after the goal or was it his twin? I thought it was a bit overdone to be honest when I was watching!

What do you expect? Take off his top or jump into away stand?

It was a very subdued celebration. He did do the kneeslide but he just kind of jogged and it was all in slow motion.

It wasn't the big release of emotion you might expect from someone scoring their first goal in a year. I put it down to it just being so long hes more relieved the dry spell was over than excited.
