They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
We will remember them.

Have to say I was in Asda the other day and I bought two enamel badges one for me the other for the missus sold by Poppy appeal RBL, about the size of 10p piece lots of little poppies around the outside with a cross of rememberance in the middle with 1914 - 2014. I shall be wearing it as from tomorrow. We should never forget the sacrifice they made.

Re: 100 Years Ago Tomorrow

Spent day volunteering in moat of Tower of London, they are planting 880,000 poppies one for each life lost, was very touching - btw sorry I am wearing red but it proves it doesn't suit me

Re: 100 Years Ago Tomorrow

The 20th century was a waste of so much life and a bringer of so much human misery. There were amazing accomplishments too in the realms of science and technology but let's hope for more of the accomplishments and much less of the waste and misery in this century.

Quite simply, I can't put into words my admiration for those brave young men who went away to fight in The Great War.

Just thinking of the sacrifice they made can move me to tears.

They may all be gone now but we must ensure that what they did for us will never be forgotten.
