10th Anniversary. What were you doing when you found out?

Sat in my local before going on holls hen it with some dole rags mates.when it popped up on sky & the interview with the guy
who said man city the riches club in the world.
Couldn't hear a word from the rags as they left the pub with some blues with the biggest grin you will ever see(looked like a advert for a teeth whitening)

Just watched a video with Garry Cooke. I know he sent that email and had to go but he was a really top fella. Lot of respect for him.

I was one of the first people on this forum to find out, back in the days of crawling Newsnow for breaking news, lol.

Was sat at my desk just dumbstruck, the few on the forum at the time scrabbling to find out how much money Sheikh Mansour had, when it dawned on us he was one of the richest men in the world it was just the most fucking surreal feeling.

Shame the threads only go back to dec 18 would love to bump up that days thread to re read

Was in Portugal on holiday. Spent the day on the Albufeira strip watching Sky Sports News visiting internet cafe's every 10 mins to find out who else we'd bid for.

Freshing the OS to see Robinho had signed at 11.50pm was the most surreal end to the most surreal day.

Don't suppose anyone has a link to a video of the SSN coverage or even a link to a thread on here from when we were taken over?

Only thing I don't like is this city fans were not willing or proud to show they were blues bollocks people keep coming out with.

It was the Monday after we were related in May 98 at Stoke. I went into college in the morning for lessons with my City shirt on as normal (expecting the usual abuse from rags, county fans and teaching staff). But this say was different. Because rather than the handful of football shirts worn on any given day, there were City shirts *everywhere*. It was a sea of sky blue. People I never even knew were Blues wore there shorts that day as a symbol of defiance and unity.

One of my proudest days as a blue.

Cannot find the SNN footage

But this interesting report from al jazeera a few weeks before about Taksin needing to sell

CNN

That numpty on ITV

Football focus report just after

And just for fun this ff report 10 years earlier in 98
