10th Anniversary. What were you doing when you found out?

Pep was preparing Barcelona for the Gamper against Boca which had a dramatic ending, giving a prelude of things that were about to come

But I remember the Robinho deal pretty well, he was virtually a Chelsea player and then City appeared really out of nowhere with the new owners to make the big splash. I remember thinking it was so strange but already not having been convinced by the player it was less of a surprise - seemed like a money grab

Driving to a local appointment with a female rag in my car to conduct a duel interview. Got it out of the way as quickly but professionally as possible.

Dropped her off at home, cancelled further meetings for the day and went home for SSN until the early morning.

On my mobile so can't be arsed working out how to post a link and not a big fan of Jason Manford but the bit in his show about that night is really good.

I was at home idly watching the deadline day stuff on Sky when the news broke. I wasn't sure what to make of it at first - so many takeovers of football clubs had gone tits up, including our own with Thaksin - but I realised it was serious shit when the Robinho and Berbatov stories broke later that night.

Working in Tesco as a 20 year old during summer between uni and getting text updates from my cousin. Feeling like it was a windup!

BBC Football. (It must have killed Simon Stone to write this)

Expect a ‘massive’ feature in Sky SNF, Tonight, as well.

Fucking hell, Gary Cook in that short interview has just made me nearly blob.

What a great guy.

Only thing I don't like is this city fans were not willing or proud to show they were blues bollocks people keep coming out with.
I don't know any blue who hid thier allegencies prior to the takeover, if you were going to watch us you never hid that fact on the streets of Manchester or elsewhere.
In fact in the late 80s early 90s I and other berts in my school were always in our city tops for PE and sports days, as were the notrites in rag shirts.

Strange thing is I'm less likely to wear a City shirt now than when we were shit.

I can't be doing with the mither anymore from know-nowts.

Exactly, I would don my shirt with pride in secondry school and late teens that I wasn't a rag twat, now in my mid 40s a simple pin badge will do, but always wear one never been ashamed to show colours.
