I think he's got lots of potential, with the pace and skill to consistently get past his man.

Needs some work on his decision making and the intricacies of how this team fits together, but he's a young player in his first season at the club and I think on balance he's probably done as well as or better than could have been expected at this stage.

This player's supposed speed is just a myth! When was the last time you actually saw him outpace his opponent? Maybe in the French farmer's league, his speed stood out against slower players, but at this top level, he doesn't seem incredibly fast. Besides, speed is nothing without quick thinking and excellent ball control.

I think he was average. He created some good crosses, but his decision making and when to pass quickly is just poor. He is 21, so I am sure he can learn, but it will depend on how stubborn he proves to be. At least, you can see his pressing has improved, so clearly, he takes instruction.

Our winger standards went so low that some people lick their chops over an average player like Duku ! What is more worrisome though is that most of our attacking options tonight were through him !

He did put one ball on a plate for Foden who didn’t take it and played some nice passes. I was more disappointed with others today. He was in our top 3/4 players today I thought

Grealish need Doku to be better just as Doku need Grealish to be better. We need both of them for the betterment of our team.

Grealish was just fine without Doku last season when he was key to us winning the treble. Where does this fantasy that Grealish needs Doku come from?

he is great compared this is a huge step up for him, also first PL season, trying to bed in etc. PL vs Ligue 1, day and night difference...
but he is currently about 25% of an in form Mahrez which eventually makes us a weaker outfit currently. (similar proble with the out of form Grealish)

I would prefer Foden form the left if Foden needs to be a winger, he scored quite a few last few seasons from left, not so much from right. (where mainly Mahrez played or Bernardo)

Jeez. What a load of crap.
We've had some superb wingers in the last few years to the extent that Mahrez was often a bench option.
Pep's tactics don't allow the winger to do the traditional "sprint to the byeline pull it back for the incoming forwards" routine. The game has moved on from that since the days of Robbem and Ribery at Bayern.

When you're running into 6 defenders squeezed into 10 yards of space with no clear target speed doesn't help.

Same place the fantasy that Grealish was' key' to us winning the treble comes from. Neither are of the standard we should have been acquiring to consolidate our dominance.
