Will it ruin the atmosphere? last year at coms when we lost 1 nil i thought it was shite for a derby.

most important derby in the lives of many a City fan...

if it kicked off at midnight the atmosphere will be electric. :)

Go to bed early friday and get up and have a Stella for breakfast and carry on untill match time, atmosphere should be fine then.

;-p

Ps not me im t-total now for 3 months \0/

I think with whats planned its going to be a mad house from the second the players hit the tunnel til the end!!

i just hope its warmer than the last season, i was to cold to do anything. Playing garbage didn help though

I don't think it's a bad time - Fed up of Monday nights, and particularly, Sunday Afternoons. For me, anything on a Saturday will do!

I recall in the late 80s early 90s they had a couple of 11am games at Maine Rd against the rags and they had a really crap atmosphere.

i can imagine at that time, everyone rolls out of bed and to the game, everyones still half asleep! haha

i'm i right in saying we had an 11am against Everton on a sunday morning about 4 years ago? lol

7 am - wake up, fry up, few bottles of beer

8am - more beer

9 am - more beer

10am - off to the pub

11am - mary ds (if its open?)

should be fineeeeeeeeeeeee :)

I think it usually does affect the atmosphere but you can also get a good atmosphere for any game as long as the mood is right. Hopefully, with our Argentina '78 welcome we can get the whole stadium singing. I've noticed something else which seems to be quite important too; weather. In my opinion the atmosphere tends be a lot better when the sun is out.

What ruined the atmosphere last year was what happened on the pitch, such a lack lustre half hearted performance from the players where we never looked like scoring, i'm sure tomorrow will be different

Our performance didn't help last season, but nighttime derbies are amazing. The 2-1 in the cup this season was just sick. Especially with the lights out intro. United played their part too with the flares.
