12th April Pubs Go Live (well outside anyway).

Is it just me getting old or are hangovers from pubs 10x worse than a session at home?

I don't drink cheap rubbish, things like nice ales and lagers but the same amount in town destroys me. Doesn't matter where I go or what I drink I wake up feeling like shit.

Is beer from shops "better" than the stuff from pipes??
i always think this but then i think it's down to size of drink really. I'll have 4 at the pub on a steady one with mates, if ive work the next day and i will always feel a little bit hazy. Then i realise it's the equivalent of 7 x 330ml cans/bottles which is a bit really. also, i drink those 4 pints wayyy faster than i would drink 7 bottles at home.

in summary i had 4 in the pub last night (in 2 hours) by the canal, and i feel a bit hazy :D

A friend who works at a craft brewery says the keg percentage fluctuates more than bottles/cans so without realising you can be drinking more ABV% than you thought

I get less hangovers now at 45 than I did at 25, and I drink just as much, in fact at 25 I was drinking beer at around 4% where now it can range between 5-10%

Also as said, 3 hrs in a pub = 6-8 pints, 3 hrs at home is probably 5x500ml bottles a most so just over 4 pints

any hangover secrets would be welcome

Anyone know of any decent pubs out of the centre that will have the game on this weekend?
