Its not and everyone knows it. He gifted 2 goals to Son in the 2019 CL and he gifted a goal to Lyon in August.

He was absolutely shit in those games, and I wrote before the season, before anyone considered he might get benched that he needed a big season because falling to pieces in the CL once can happen, twice is eyebrow raising and 3 times means you cant be relied on.

If Pep has decided he doesn't need to wait until he costs us another season defining game to drop him then I don't think you can blame him, especially when the other 3 are performing.

Laporte will have to suck it up and wait like others have done. It could be 6 weeks, it could be 6 months, it could be all season.

You said he cost us two champions league quarters - that is bollocks. He made an error v Spurs yes. So did Pep, so did Aguero, so did half the fucking team. As with v Liverpool and Monaco. V Lyon he was very clearly fouled.

There’s one man responsible for our CL exits and it’s not Laporte. And if we’re talking about players not playing because they made 3/4 errors in 3/4 years then Stones might as well become a bricklayer.

I was being nice about the Spurs game, he was responsible for us conceding 3 goals in a single tie. Gave the ball to Son twice and was the man beaten by Llorente at a set piece.

Stones did make big mistakes, and he lost Peps trust, with Garcia being preferred to him. He stuck it out and won back the trust he lost and has been faultless this season.

I think its bizarre that you care so much about this. You very clearly care more about 1 player being in the side than the team doing well. No one in their right mind is complaining about the selection of the defence literally as the commentator is announcing we have gone 10 hours without conceding a goal.

I came to this thread and there you were chatting bollocks. He had a bad game nearly two years ago, get over it. If you're so arsed about defensive cock ups Ake and Dias won't play again this season after that monstrosity.

I stated facts and you got upset.

I would be surprised if anyone loses their place over a deflection but I didnt think Ake did particularly well, Stones will replace him im sure.

I wouldn’t be happy to see / experience the same shit, that happened with Sane

Stones, Dias and even Ake can now be playing their best football but Laporte is the best left-footed defender in the world,

and 1-2 years from now, if Laporte is gone for another stupid reasons of Pep - we will find out another obvious truth like we found out about Bernardo, Mahrez and Sterling in relation to Sane
