My dad was one tough bastard. He lived off Nuthurst Rd until he met my mum (an even tougher bastard!). Both mum and dad were raised by my grandparents who had the square root of fuck all income-wise.
Society mattered then. It’s now lost. We’re a nation of illiterate, ill-mannered, ill-advised, couldn’t-care-less cultural idiots.
But hey, we’ve got high speed broadband.

I don't know what the problem is in Townsville I mean if you look at it it's pretty much Paradise with the climate and beaches etc.
Off the coast are the beautiful tropical Whitsunday islands and of course not too far away is the great barrier Reef.

I wonder if it's just a culture thing where the young teenagers in particular feel disaffected like there's nothing for them to do and they maybe come from broken families. Lack of a loving family to guide them.
 
Turns out the little angel, 14 year old girl who was arrested in connection to this was in court yesterday (not in regards to this incident) and was charged with 32 offences, been arrested over 40 times and was on tag when involved in this

Been seeing that little bitch’s face plastered all over Facebook as of last night.

What a fucking shambles when you have 40 arrests. A couple were in court against her yesterday and the charge she was in for has stuck.

What with her involvement in Sunday, let’s hope she ends up with a little stay at his majesty’s pleasure. Evil little twat.
 
So many senseless killings I don't know how the family of this young man will cope without him, there are 3 teenage girls in court for kicking a 75 year old man to death which horrified me too.

What sort of an utter **** have you got to be to kill someone because you can?

I’ve clearly been out of Moston for too long.
I wondered why I wasn’t familiar with the name of the Fairway pub.
Looking at that picture from the BBC, wasn’t it The Broadway?

Yes pal, it was The Broadway until about 8/9 years ago. As you probably remember the housing area on the opposite side of the dual carriageway was known as The Fairway, so it takes it's name from there.
My wife worked at the care home on the other side of the road (diagonally opposite) for 6 years from 2010-2016, so we know the area well.

In the 1970s I didn't really like going in the pubs on Alkrington where I lived ( Dad and Mums home).
So we used to go in the Berkshire regularly,and occasionally The Clough ( although that was further to walk).
And the very first pub that I went to in that area was The Lion and Lamb, just after it changed to The Wreckers in 1971.
