Great player! Only reason most weekends I turned up! as they say worth the admission fee alone. That performance of his against newcastle at home when they were going for the title was up there with the best. Even the magpie on the pitch was impressed!
I brought a mate who was a Southampton fan to that match with me. We were sat in the Kippax and after that was scored, although my mate was gutted, he stood up and appluaded because he knew he had just witnessed one of the greatest goals he would ever see (and he'd seen plenty of beauties from Le Tissier).
