Obviously he's not an exact replica, but as far as having a literal giant that acts as a midfield controller he's about as close as we could have ever realistically gotten to a Touré replacement. Which is very beneficial.

Will make the pass - often a great one - literally a fraction of a second after receiving the ball. For me this is a step up from before this year. Not that he was terrible before. He's just noticeably better now.

Some of us ...we're convinced of his class...from day 1. His debut.
West ham away. We won 5nil on the opening day of the season.
To say that the lad was performing for the first time in the premier league, away from home..against a half decent WHU in front of 60 odd k fans.....his performance, imo.was ..Electric.
For those,with eyes to see....

And.i do remember the BBC,on the day we signed this cultivated powerhouse, trying their absolute best to take the piss..with comments like "a lot of money for a midfielder who rarely scores any goals"
Or words to that effect....

Oh,the BBC.. who didn't see,.....and didn't know.......... lol
I bet the journo who wrote that piece is pissing the bed tonite.
Whoever you are,dickhead...." get it right next time"........it's your job.
Comparable to 53 million on a Chelsea bust

in an incredible run of form. Spider senses on over time the way he snuffs out threats before they develop.

worrying how much hes playing though, dont want him hitting a wall In the business end like last seaosn.

Good point. Worth remembering how good he was last season until he faded towards the end, most likely due to fatigue.

Fernandinho or the academy lad (lavia?) need to play a few here and there.

No carabao this season from now on though and he seems to take care of himself, so fingers crossed

Before that was decent performance on Wembley against the Liverpool in Community Shield..

He was class since the day one, I think problem was with the other midfield players and team in overall. Aging David Silva and etc. Now with Bernardo and Gundogan - he has been playing great and what's more important, midfield is playing as the whole unit

Cheers for posting ,and for putting me right 're his debut.
I didn't watch that match,I think it's the one Foden scored the winning pen in the shoot-out..
I agree with your comments about an aging Silva, and the midfield now playing as a unit.

Best DM in WORLD football right now. Wouldn’t trade him for anyone.

Goal was an otherworldly strike.
