Seen a lot of people blaming him for today.

Let's be honest, the tactics didn't help him at all.

He was holding the fort in the middle on his own. Rico Lewis popping into midfield every so often, but why wasn't Gundogan or Bernardo alongside him?

Spurs suffocated us in the middle and Rodri was completely outnumbered.

I just feel as though Pep has thrown Rodri a hospital pass with the tacics he was trying to implement.

Pep craves for control yet has an 18 year old full back alongside Rodri in midfield.

Why not a midfield controller like Gundo or a tireless runner like Bernardo?

Just very shoddy.

Fantastic player but does slow it down too much at times which in turn prevents us counter attacking quickly.

Got away with his brain fart against Spuds at home with the comeback in the second half. Today, however, it was just one mistake in one of the worst performances I've seen in a long time...and that's not just the Premier League.

Pep is forced to overplay players due to injuries or lack of alternatives, they lose form and make mistakes. Happened to Cancelo, it's happening to Rodri and Bernardo.

Scapegoating the players who make mistakes due to being always available and overplayed (while other players can't stay fit) is a bit daft.

First half he didn't even bother looking forward, as soon as he got it he passed it back straight away, he fucked up but he really shouldn't of gone into a shell.

Shocking performance. Time to be dropped. At fault for the goal. Barton Bridge turns quicker than him. Step up kalvin Phillips.
For who? He is the only midfielder who has consistently turned up. He had a bad game but he is the only midfielder we have that I trust at the moment.

He was poor today because of the tactics as much as anything else. We all know his weakness is his lack of mobility, we've taken away his crutch in that regard in Bernardo who sat with him and covered that weakness of his so he's getting exposed witnout it, there's no fix to that other than to give him legs around him.

We've then stuck Rico Lewis next to him practically holding his hand getting in the way offering no useful pass aswell as taking away an out ball on the left because he's next to him. Bernardo isn't close to him for the little slide ball forward to beat their first press and open it up and kdb when playing is usually even further forward and closer to Haaland limiting his options.

The entire team don't move as it is, with no midfield options on when he picks up the ball his options are usually pass it out wide to the fullback or winger depending how far up we are or backwards.

I've been hyper critical of Rodri's passing in the past, his first few years his first thought was always to play it safe and backwards, his body position often lent to that but that's no longer the case, he plays forward passes most of the time now but he can't play them when they're not on.

The current system is just asking for Rodri to be ripped to shreds. As for the goal, he's taking some of the blame, it wasn't a great pass and he had other options but not the main portion of it. Lewis was caught on his heels.

Confused with his decision making for their goal. Unnecessarily held the ball a tad too long.

But he has been class overall this season. Really really needs a rest. We are fortunate he's not injury prone.

No idea what's going on with Pep and Phillips, but somebody has to rotate with Rodri if we need him the rest of the season.

Rodri needs more players like Laporte and Cancelo than Bernardo. Rodri, Laporte and Cancelo started about 100 league games between them last season. Ake and Lewis are nowhere near as good as Laporte and Cancelo in the build up play, which makes it a lot easier for oppo teams to press Rodri and force mistakes. Plus, Rodri has played a lot, which is another factor for his problems in recent games.

Poor from Rodders again :(

We need a settled defence gotta stop fucking changing it.

Walker Dias Laporte Ake should have been today's back 4
we've seen dias and laporte get ripped apart by kane and son so im not sure they would have done any better.
