Been one of our best players but saved two bad passes for today and the home game against them. He looked a bit tired but maybe I am reading too much into it.

Had a mare but he is still a class act, he's just been asked to do too much, his team mates letting him down game after game.

Really poor yesterday, but plenty of credit in the bank.
Another one suffering as a result of the nonsense setup and attendant lack of cohesion in our play.

Are yu fick. Kalvin Phillips.

Spuds did a number on him yesterday because they know he’s the only one driving us forward at the minute and when he can’t do it we are fucked, hardly surprising he also looks a bit tired seems to be the only player who never gets a rest as is his importance the others around him need to buck there ideas up and quick

Mistakes happen when people are tired. He's playing every game.

Last season we had Fernandinho to take the load and pressure off him.

This season we have Kalvin Phillips who can't even be trusted to start.

Says it all, really.

Rodri definitely isn't to blame as you've said.

He's an absolute rock and always one of our best players. The guy who makes us tick. But this formation, or at least the one yesterday, just completely snookers him. He has Lewis stood pretty much in his shadow at times, not really serving much purpose and eliminating Rodri's ability to switch play evenly from left to right. Then he's tucking in to collect the ball from Ederson but rather than having a centre back either side to play to, or a full back either side and then someone like Bernardo dropping in, he's got his left back tucked in which rules out Ake and playing it that side and makes it easy for Spurs to stifle the obvious passing options.

It's worrying when you're watching a Pep side and feeling like hoofing the ball up the pitch is the better option!

Oh Captain my Captain! Great match as usual from our best player of the season. For how tall and heavy he is, he can shift his weight so easily (Walker passes are not the best, but Rodri shifting his weight make him control really hard balls).

As well as his goal, he was pretty much top in every category today (including chances created). Superb player.

Absolutely ferocious today. Love when he's in that kind of mood (which is apparently any time we play Villa).
