I think 18/19 season where Pep & team managed to win title race against Liverpool and that game on Etihad as well without him - declared that Manchester City isn't about individuals.. I don't think that without him and with Bernardo for example there on his position - Pep would be worrying or team be playing worse football. I think points would be same more or less, or even during the last season...

Of course he is the best midfielder and maybe footballer in the world right now - but City isn't about individuals and Pep has system which makes it easy to substitute anyone, even Debruyne and it's not a theory - we saw this in 18/19..

I don't want to be a bad guy here, but if he hadn't returned from that injury in February-March of 2019 and Pep didn't have to bench Sane to play Bernardo & Sterling - maybe that team even could have won the CL... That's my theory and wouldn't talk a lot about it but the main topic is, that he hasn't deserved / earned and no one except Pep, to talk and have such kind attitude towards his teammates..

Is he Messi and Ronaldo with Golden Balls or are we missing something ?

I don't know what is happening with him but I'm sure no one at the club likes it and especially Pep, who appreciates humble players with high work rate and who talk less and do more.. Now it's opposite and that's not cool.

PS If I was Pep I would give him one month vacation time till boxing days.. It's better not to have moaners around than every fucking day listen to this "we didn't have pre-season and that's why..." excuses...

His after match comments were ridiculous.

Complaining about international matches, no rest and no training.

Spurs had the same situation.
Yeah, you're talking shite. You totally missed out his point on pre-season and rest time.

Spurs season finished on the 26th July. They had a 4 week rest, then played 3 friendlies then started this season.

Our season finished on August 15th and we played zero friendlies.

City fans are gonna have to learn o be more patient this year, with players and the manager. These are extreme circumstances but the season will be a long drawn dog fight.

He's gassed. He looks fed up, like there's too much pressure on him. I think the captaincy has harmed his game. Remember him getting booted all over by Chelsea players, then running at their defense and the anger in the shot. Now he looks like he's trying to do everything. He's started moaning and bitching at other players. His head drops if he passes and no ones where he thought they would be. Take him out of the team, let him rest up against olympiakos and Burnley at least. Let walker wear the armband and let kev worry about football.

It wasn't just City in this position.

No they didn't. Spurs' players had 6 weeks off, Kev had one week off. Maybe he shouldn't talk about that and that's a separate discussion. But he's factually correct.

He was saying there was no training this week, which Spurs international players also didn't have.
