he is irreplaceable mate. There is nobody with his vision for a pass. We will adapt and change like we did when Yaya, David and Kun left
Exactly, we didn't replace Aguero, Yaya, Silva, Dinho, we found suitable players for the job and we adjusted, same would happen with Kdb but we need to change the criteria just a little bit more, This habit of getting midfielders with little or no goal contributions has to be thrown out the window.

Go back to getting players that build up play but at the same time wouldn't have a shriveled dick at the sight of goal

Yaya, Samir, David. Kun and Edin in front. Frightening.

The 400th match for him is coming, we hope that it will at least be in a positive atmosphere. It's a pity, if he leaves us at the end of this season, he won't have played more games than David Silva, but even without that, when the line is drawn sometime in the future, he will still be a bigger legend than him. The numbers speak for themselves.

Gareth was more if a regular than Samir.
He was mate, you are right. I guess I was talking about our creative capability in response to the original post. We also had Milner and Nigel and latterly in that period Fern. All of them did a good/great job for us. We also used to be in the habit of augmenting the squad with opportunist signings like Viera, Lampard, Pizarro (not sure that’s the right spelling) as well as journeymen like Garcia and Fernando.
It would be good to pick up a couple of opportunist signings in January.

The only creator we had and he was subbed , probably really knackered , instead of being on the front foot with him we concede and loose

Been saying it and few want to admit it....He is done....he is adding nothing....

Anything else is just nostalgia for a once great player...he needs to finish at the end of this season....he cant run anymore, cant receive the ball in tight spaces and turn...he is consistantly losing possession. Capable of one off moments but he is more of a hinderance now

All the usual caveats apply i.e. he's one of our greatest ever players and the one of the league's best etc etc but people need to stop clutching to the idea that him not carrying us through games anymore (for the most part) is because he simply isn't fit and needs gametime and accept that this is simply his level now at his age and with the toll previous injuries have taken.

Apart from Newcastle away, what really big impact did he have on any game last season? He was back in the team (albeit from the bench) in the FA Cup 3rd round against Huddersfield but apart from that Newcastle match, when did he stand out for the remaining 5 months or so? Are we really saying he still wasn't match fit by the end of May?
I remember him being subbed off against Liverpool away at the start of March when he was playing poorly because it looked like he was having an argument with Pep out of frustration.

I mention last season because although it's still relatively soon since his return from his injury/ies this season, people shouldn't be surprised if he still isn't ripping up trees by say Easter.

And also that neither Grealish (certainly) or Foden are going to be the direct heirs to him. I'm far from writing Foden off and still think he has a lot to offer the team but it's not as the successor to KDB as some on here seem to have longed him to be. There's going to need to be someone new alongside Foden to replicate what KDB offered at his peak. Don't ask me who that is though! The only name I have to offer is the obvious Wirtz.

I love Kev but good lord that was some of the worst set piece deliveries I've ever seen, and that says something considering how shite we are at them, wasn't good from open play either, we all know he isn't the same player anymore but that wasn't good at all.

Let’s call it as it is… an absolute disgrace out of possession at the moment. Everything that people say about Gundogan’s ‘efforts’ off the ball need to also be directed at Kevin because he’s just as bad. Having them both in the same midfield is just too much of a handicap.
