17 months since the end of pearce era

it's been just under a year and a half since pearce was replaced by
Sven, Just stop for a moment and think,
Why have people lost the run of themselves
and think why we deserve to have a top half team with all that has gone on since then.
A thai millionaire with a alterer motive took over the club and within 6 months was not a
millionaire any more. The manager he brought to the club had a honeymoon period which
brought some great football and some expectations but last Christmas the bubble burst.
So this time last year we were in free fall and the final insult the boro match. then hey presto
sept 1st and we are the richest team in the world.
The last 5 months have been up and lots
of downs, but where did all these fans suddenly believe that we'd get the kaka's and villa type
player's so soon. We were shit in the pearce era, half the season with sven and now shitty
with hughes for last 5 months. We will not go down but this month do not be so critical if
we only buy premiership type players to get us up table and into top half stability, on our
way to bigger and better things...........

Why has the Pearce era ended? What was served up today was being served up 17 months ago, some faces might have changed but the end result has not, if we did not know different we would not be able to tell the difference

The players playing today bar a few are the virtually the same as the pearce era, you hit the nail on the head.

we are still basically a simular team, No midfield. No defence no matter how good
could with stand the constant barrage from strong physical type teams. Vinny is a good
midfielder but a better central defender. We are seriously lacking in defensive midfielders.
we are playing with a midfield of attacking players and Vinny, No team in the prem has so
many attacking players on the pitch at the start of a match as we have. hence we either
trash teams or get trashed. No manager could walk into city and fix this in 5 months, So
my point being, if the manager does not address this problem in this transfer window. I will
seriously think we have a problem for the future.
