"Feed the Goat and he will score,
Feed the Goat and he will score"!

What an atmosphere.listen to with the sound up
Went to both legs of this.what football matches used to be like..as the commentary said..you can feel the tension in the ground

I love how the commentary on the Wigan game says "oh I don't know, you've seen them given" for the absolute stone wall penalty against weikens!

I remember listening to that game on gmr or similar as I was deemed too young to go!

Listen to the commentary, 'this club and their fanatical support'!
Being a blue back then was an act of defiance, a feeling of being part of a hardcore,
taking huge away crowds to a lot of small grounds.
We must of lost a lot of those supporters accross the way or else a combination of a new unloved ground
and expecting to being entertained means we've lost that passionate support.
With all the success now, we've definitely lost something along the way.

Yeah 100% agree the away followings and the home games even was a very different type of fan then I was only 15 to around 18/19 in the late 1990's to early 2000's but I loved it them aways was like one big group all together as city a definite show of defiance cos of how bad we got.I still do around 3/5 aways a season now when I can get tickets it's still good but the atmosphere is nothing like what it was when we was around the lower leagues if anyone says it is they wasn't there simple as that.

i remember thinking that i dont know if i can take another game with as much tension like that again! and then came gillingham............bloody hell

wow, hasnt time flown!

I loved that kit as well! Still got it although somehow its shrunk since its been in my wardrobe :-)
