Very nice of Txiki and Pep to give Gundo a year off sipping Martinis under the Mediterranean sun to recharge his batteries.

Looks mentally fresh like he is totally up for it.. slotted in seamlessly and combined nicely with Rico and Haaland a few times in his 30 min cameo.

We almost went back to the treble system when he came on.. Bernardo/ Grealish wingers, 3 at the back, double pivot in midfield.

And a clear and beloved appreciated welcome back from the not emptyhad! You can come home again! :)

Was a wonderful sight seeing him home today.

One thing I couldn’t help but notice…he was constantly pointing and directing players to go to certain areas. Like a coach but on the pitch.

I thought we looked much better when he came on. Stones is great alongside another midfielder, but I don't think he really worked as a lone DM. We were mainly missing him out and progressing the ball down the wings. I don't think he even touched the ball for the first 5 minutes he was on. When Gundo came on, we controlled the midfield again. Like he's never been gone.

Gündog's return is very timely, with Dave still out and Kova picking up an injury.

It was fantastic to see him back in Blue and the welcome he received showed that I wasn’t the only one, who felt that way.

Glad to have him back, wanted him to stay before he went to Barca and so happy we get to see him in blue again. An absolutely class act on and off the pitch and whether he starts or comes on from the bench, what a player to rely upon. I'm not sure he'll ever get the plaudits from others in terms of greatest PL midfielders, but he truly is one of the best ever to grace the PL. I loved him ever since that epic performance he put on against us for Dortmund and when we signed him I was over the moon. I never expected him to be the player he was in the final third, or the captain he became either but he truly is a legend of the club and I hope he can help deliver even more success for us.
