He's played well across the last month but this was just one game too far in the recent run? That's literally all I meant? One game lol. He doesn't read this. You can say what you actually think.

He honestly hasn't, he's been horrendous all season. People try to be nice & like to pretend he does something during matches, but he doesn't.He's played well across the last month but this was just one game too far in the recent run? That's literally all I meant?
Pep need to drop him and he shouldn’t be here next season if he’s not on the coaching team I keep hearing about him being great against Southampton and Palace but I want to know how he played against Liverpool arsenal psg and Madrid you know the teams that we are looking to match again .Peps mate
I had no issue criticising him over Christmas when things were really bad but he has been much better in recent weeks in my eyes. Don't try to put your thoughts in my head.He honestly hasn't, he's been horrendous all season. People try to be nice & like to pretend he does something during matches, but he doesn't.
Mate you have to look at games against the very best domestically and Europe and he is not now not good enough in them games anymore and when was the last time we said that gundo got the game by the scruff of the neck and dragged us out of it as he used to . One of my fave all time players but he needs to step back into the coaching side now .You can't judge Gundo when he plays with a midfield of Kev, Bernie and Kovacic - as seen in games when he's had the insurance of Nico sat there he's a different player. I suspect missing Rodri has impacted a lot of our senior players Gundo in particular. Pep clearly sees Nico as a player for next season.
For me Gundo still has the intelligence to contribute next year - especially if we have a more solid and mobile midfield. I suspect that Pep has sacrificed entertaining play just to grind out points to qualify for the CL this year. I believe that next year we will see a return to a far more attacking team with youth and mobility surrounding a few of the older guys.
I do agree with you - when I say he can still contribute it would be in a very reduced role - say 15-20 games next year tops. I think we can all agree when he came back no-one expected him to play so much his mind is fine but his body is just that few seconds behind which as you say is key when playing against the best.Mate you have to look at games against the very best domestically and Europe and he is not now not good enough in them games anymore and when was the last time we said that gundo got the game by the scruff of the neck and dragged us out of it as he used to . A bit out of the blue?At the moment the biggest problem in the squad.
Probably nobody in the club knows what to do with him
I think he's played pretty well since his 2 month or so horror start. Just don't play him twice in 3 (or 4) days and surround him with the right players when he's on the pitchA bit out of the blue?
Pep seems happy enough with Gundogan and I haven't a clue what the club think of him.
Agreed.I think he's played pretty well since his 2 month or so horror start. Just don't play him twice in 3 (or 4) days and surround him with the right players when he's on the pitch
And the pass to Doku !Agreed.
Thought he did ok on Friday (and has done well since jan). Lots of decent runs on Friday (his run makes KDB's goal).
He's just trying a bit too hard to make the killer contribution with some of his passes IMO, some of which just aren't on. I get why he wants it, to have a really special moment in his second spell (I'm dying for him to score at Wembley). But he needs to let it happen organically, not force it.
He made 37 passes on Friday. We had 684 passes. 0 shots 0 assists and 0 goals. He was literally invisible. He's nowhere near good enough for us now. I miss the real Gundo.Agreed.
