Utter nonsense. Are we really expected to believe that after the Arsenal game half the squad said to Pep, it is ok we will make our own way home, he said fine, and they then went to a party in London, currently the COVID capital of the world, and that Sancho flew in for good measure. If that were true we would deservedly forfeit the points, but it just isn’t.
I don’t think it happened, but even if it did it would have been 20 or so adult football players doing something that their clubs didn’t know about in their own personal time and space.
How could it possibly be construed that City could be held responsible in any way?
How could the FA or whoever deem it fit to dock points for something without the clubs control or authority?
Similarly, if it were true and if Sancho did attend nobody would think that his club should be docked points.
IMO it’s nothing more than a mendacious story on twitter from a well dodgy source.
My feeling is that if it had any legs then the tabloids would be all over it like a rash.
They’ll certainly have heard about it, it’s great click bait so they’d love it to be true, but they obviously can’t find any substantiation whatsoever or it would already be headlines.
If, on the other hand, there were to be an outbreak of cases due to City not maintaining reasonable covid protocols in the workplace then ok that would be City’s fault but that’s not even been hinted at.
PS. Also, if it is true then why wasn’t I invited!
