I'd agree with that.Awful yesterday but I’ll put it down to covid lag

For 90% of the games we play Walker just isn't needed. Its very obvious after watching the technical brilliance of Cancelo for a few games how limited Walkers game is.
He is an amazing athlete and still a great option for us,but he should stick to what he does best and leave playing football to others -The few occasions Palace looked threatening in the first half were down to his contributions in that department.
Have to cut him slack for last night as he is coming back from covid, but I agree, Cancelo is the much better of the twoFor 90% of the games we play Walker just isn't needed.
He is like the defensive version of Mahrez, you notice him a few times during a game, typically when he is using his strength or pace and some on here get excited because our full back is fast. But like Mahrez, for the other 89 minutes of a game, he is utterly pointless. Some fans think that Walker gives more defensive stability than Cancelo but last night, Palaces most likely (possibly only) route to goal was from a wayward Walker pass.
I thought he started the season very well but quickly went back to his normal level. At the moment, Cancelo is no more a defensive liability than Walker and is 10x the player with the ball at his feet.
I wouldn’t expect him to be after Covid to be honest.Looked rusty, loves to give away free kicks ,not the player he was earlier in the season.
