Typically woeful on the ball and equally as bad defensively. Was partly at fault for their goal, and although Everton didn't offer much, anything they did offer came down his side.

For a long while, I used to think there was a trade-off between Walkers better defending, and Cancelo being better on the ball. I actually don't think that trade-off exists. Walker is a flashy defender "ooooh look at me being all fast and strong", but he actually causes as many problems as he solves. He doesn't get out to a winger to stop crosses and he consistently falls asleep. Throw in the rash challenges in and around our box and what you have is the RB equivalent of Mahrez. Odd flashes of brilliance mixed in with a whole load of negative sideways/backwards crap.

Cancelo is not a brilliant defender, but he has improved. He is not as flashy as Walker, but he goes about his defensive duties quietly and efficiently. He is better defensively at RB than LB but apart from the odd soft tackle, I am rarely worried about him defensively these days.

Walker is a decent backup RB (a lot better than anyone elses 2nd choice RB), but that is all he should be these days. I wouldn't want him starting in any big game, against any top opposition.

Fantastic squad player this season if he kept it simple not trying to show Pep how good he is on the ball so dwelling on the all then when closed down by 2 /3 players he then rushes the pass and miss places it. season past when he was solid kept it simple did his job he was one of the best right backs in the premier. But knit picking he was fine we won.

Blimey you sure dont like walker do you, anyone would think he played in a red shirt reading that drivel.
Anyways just read a post of yours someone dug up, it seems you were right on the button about rodri and gundogan. Im off to the bookies to stick the house on walker for balon door

You been 100% bang on the money with everything you have posted?

People digging up old posts, that were absolutely relevant at the time, but are maybe not relevant now, means nothing. I am sure he felt he was being dead clever when he tagged me in, I just looked at it, gave it the disdain it was due, and simply wondered whether or not he had ever kissed a girl.

I thought that triangle of Bernardo, Mahrez and Walker was brilliant yesterday. Looked by far our most dangerous attacking threat throughout the game. I actually jumped on the match thread at half time and couldn't believe the stick Walker & Mahrez was getting for OrigamiNinja and the like.

Low and behold we scored two brilliant goals with all 3 involved in the second half. Some of Walkers passing and through balls yesterday were exceptional (as they were against Swansea) and by far better yesterday than Cancelo, who worked his socks off but gave the ball away a few times.

I actually stuck up for Mahrez yesterday, at HT and at FT, but don’t let the truth get in the way of a good story.

Walker made one fantastic through-ball to Jesus, everything else was just typically meh.

These people calling me out on my previous opinion of the likes of Rodri. Yeah I got it wrong with him. I still maintain that what I said at the time was largely correct, he was terrible. What I did get wrong was completely writing him off. I was 100% wrong and delighted that is the case.

People on here, are now quite rightly labelling Cancelo the best RB in the Prem/Europe. What you won’t see, is me behaving like a pathetic child, trawling through the thread and quoting months old posts from other users that labelled him shite.

I went against the grain, said that Walker was no good, and got plenty of grief on here for it. I said that given a proper run in the side, Cancelo would prove me right. He has done exactly that, but unlike some others on here, I respect that sometimes people post things, that further down the line they maybe they wish they hadn’t. The majority are guilty of it, and I am very much included.

Of course, we also have those on here that never get anything wrong. There’s no helping those users.

We have a very lob sided formation. The LB becomes a central mid where as Walker becomes part of the back 3 and/or a wing back when he pushes on. There are not many players that can play that system without it looking like school boy defending when the attack breaks down.

Your entitled to your opinion of course. However I have to disagree.

Technically he isnt bad but I do agree he is weaker than most in and around our starting 11. But his physical attributes are by far the best in the squad, arguably the league.

The commentary team were almost laughing at Everton's attempts to go by him last night and I don't think that there is an attacking player in the work who could beat him consistently one-on-one. For me that makes him invaluable.
