Walker is the best defender , Cancelo the better offensive player , it depends on the opposition which player starts at right back , they both have their strengths , and i will remind you Walker has been at a very high level for a few years , Cancelo has had a good six months.
Its very , very close
Walker being a great defender is an absolute myth. Everything he does is in straight lines, I’ve not seen anything like it since FIFA 96 on the Mega Drive. Fans are absolutely obsessed with his pace and yes in 1v1 situations he is as good as anyone. However his overall defending is very patchy because he ball-watches and falls asleep all the time. Their goal tonight is a prime example. Then on the ball, he is an absolute waste of space. How he continues to get a free pass on here for receiving the ball, stopping dead, cutting back and passing to Stones 95% of the time is beyond me. All the while Cancelo is getting pelters for not playing LB like prime Roberto Carlos whilst simultaneously not moving into CDM like prime Beckenbaur.

Nearly every time he has to stud the ball either pull it back or push it on

Where is Cancelo getting pelters ? He set a high standard and he was nowhere near it tonight , he was a disappointment that's hardly getting pelters , how was Walker at fault for their goal explain ? It was scored from a central position and through some superb play through the middle by Dortmund our centre backs were left for dead.

You should watch their goal back, Walker just stands there and watches Reus run past him.

Harsh to blame him for the goal, if that was getting stopped anywhere it was when it was with Bellingham and he shimmied past Rodri like he was a cone. Other than that it was just an exceptional goal, you have to accept that's going to happen from time to time at this level.

Thought it was very noticeable how dortmund seemed happy for him to carry the ball forward knowing that he doesn't have too many tricks and he inevitably repeatedly ran into dead ends.

Through the entire game, Walker was our third best player last night. He just didn’t track Reus for their goal but even if he did he wouldn’t have caught up with him anyway as he wasn’t facing the same way to what Reus was running in, and even with his pace the best he could have done was bring him down for a foul/penalty.

Agreed behind Kev and Phil our best player. He’s had a very good season so far for both club and country. He was a brilliant purchase and a big part of our success under Pep.

The best right back at the club , Cancelo proved that today, we knew Leeds would stretch us and Walker is the ideal player for those tactics , he's not the sharpest tool in the box but heknows how to defend.
Cancelo is great at breaking teams down who park the bus , but Leeds were never going to that , strange team selection by Pep.

Kyle battled down a very good Bellingham in the 1st leg
and still has an unseen Marco Reus in his pocket after bossing the right side in the 2nd leg.
For all the technical or finishing deficits he has - he's a monster of a player. His speed and physicality over 90 or whatever minutes is exactly what we need vs Mbappé.

Outstanding, yet again he has seen off the competition and remains our no1 RB

I didn't think he had a good game,in the first half hour he was awful, his passing was poor and he looked clumsy. He grew into the game second half,as did everyone else,as Dortmund ran out of steam, but his technical ability is well below par for the standard we play at.Thankfully his athleticism is unrivalled, and that is what keeps him at the top.

Overall,he's been a great signing.

Outstanding again. He's been great defensively this season and has barely made any of his typical mistakes. So much pace allows him to get into great positions. Shame his technical ability is really bad, but no other RB could get into those positions.

It's sometimes hilarious watching him trying to control a pass and taking like 3 touches, and how he cannot use his left foot.

So glad of having him on the team.
