Don’t agree with your second paragraph but your first one is 100% correct.

Perhaps we will lose more than we want in one transfer window but some of those mentioned are ready for moving on and fresh new replacements coming in. I still hope Bernie has another season but Laporte, Walker, Mahrez and Gundo, if the money is right, should be allowed to go. Whilst Laporte is still young, the others are in the twilight of their careers and will likely get one last big contract (not that they need money)

Could be a very interesting close season for transfers in and out.

Mahrez and Walker maybe,but only if they want to go. Logic would keep the squad in tact maybe let 1 or 2 go. Letting 5 players go is insane!!

The thing is, although it would be absolutely devastating to see these players leave, we need new players who have never won the treble to keep that hunger and motivation in the team.

Pains me to say it but now would be the time to freshen up the most.

No one can afford him this summer. And besides that it would end up signing another RB which is not what the club has really planned for. It would be better letting him go for nothing next time round.

Unless we have a clear strategy and have told him categorically he will be in rotation next season, i think he'll stay. But if he does go, then good luck to him and he's more than paid for the crazy price we paid way back when. Was worth it.

And yes that's a ridiculous reason if true(I guess it isn't) for Walker to want to leave. He played a LOT this year(even in Brentford and Brighton meaningless games) and not playing in the final as a starter a reason to leave? Oh come on.

He has to stay! To important for us. AMAZING pace(that we will not find anywhere else as he is the fastest RB) and good on defence.
Please make him a raise or whatever if he want to leave. He has to stay!!!!

End of an era. Love Walker... he's been incredible for this team. I thought he would stay until the end of his contract, but if both parties want to move on, then its for the best. Can't hold him hostage just to guard fast wingers like Vini. Ake and Akanji have shown they can do the business when needed.

33 now, but as Semi vs Madrid showed he still has plenty in the tank. One of the few players that's quality isn't inflated by Pep and his systems.. quality RB regardless.
