his agent likely told him that he needs to perform if he want's his 'dream move'.. That's my guess anyway.Psychology is fascinating. How can a guy who was unhappy and wanted to leave for a long time take such a huge step up in performance levels? You'd always expect it to have the opposite effect.
A longer summer and having fans back in the ground probably had something to do with it.Psychology is fascinating. How can a guy who was unhappy and wanted to leave for a long time take such a huge step up in performance levels? You'd always expect it to have the opposite effect.
Hard to argue with that comment. Since he has joined us he has been nothing put a pleasure to watch. For the fans his work rate to start with is out of this world, Watching him on the ball he's wasy on the eye. He is every managers dream.Make him the highest paid player in the team.
So he is and he isn't replaceable.I remember saying if we lost him, whilst I'd be sad as he's very likable, it wouldn't be the end of the world as he's replaceable in what he does. This was at a time when we were using him on the wing though.
In the middle he's a different beast, love what he brings to the team, comfortably our best player this season, and always seems to turn up in big games.
I've no doubt the club will do everything they can to convince him to stay, we'd be mad not to, just need to hope he has a change of heart through the course of the season and sees how good he has it here.
