Could probably name another twenty as good. Into The Valley, Duchess, Harmony In My Head, Valley of the Dolls, Outdoor Miner, Video Killed the Radio Star, Since You Been Gone, Don't Bring Me Down etc etc

Never liked I Will Survive or I Don't Like Mondays though.

Takes me back for sure. I have at least 13 of those songs (on albums) in my collection so not a bad list but my favourite single of 1979 would be Dance The Night Away by Van Halen, which I think I have a picture disc 7" of in the attic.

Never liked I Will Survive.

It starts ok. And then it repeats. And repeats. And goes on. And on. And fucking on. Long songs are great, but this one just does the same bloody thing over and over. I've come to hate it, knowing that when it starts, I'm going to be three years older by the time it finishes.
