What a great period for music this was, nothing has come close since. There are tons and tons more, some that haven't aged quite so well but there are any number of cracking albums from those few years.

The Killers - Mr Brightside

Keane - Hopes and Fears

Kings Of Leaon - Knocked Up - One of the greatest intros ever.

Bloc Party - Helicopter

Arctic Monkeys - The View from the Afternoon

Muse - Starlight

Editors - Back Room

Fuck me. If that's the best you can come up with then you are deaf, dumb or stupid.

I'll edit that as I've just had a look at the charts from those 3 years. Jesus you got it bad then. Usher, Will Young, Beanie man, whatever that is, Busted, Westlife...the incredible shit band list goes on and on.

Bed Shaped was ok, Bloc Party are an abortion of a band, I'll give you the Monkeys, although they got very samey very quickly, Kings of Leon are ok but my main grip is the Killers. Great band to start with and then...up their own arse. Pity as they wrote some cracking tunes.

Personally I spent those 3 years avoiding the music channels and radio, while listening to top quality 80s/90s music on CD. Can't quite remember why, but I think it's because my ears were offended by shite like Keane and Arctic Monkeys.
