I've seen this shirt in Dongguan (South China) for sale outside a fake shirt market, alongside a truely awful fully red City away shirt. Utter b*OLDTRAFFORD*t!

I always thought we'd look good in red, actually.

I've always been disgusted when we've worn black and red stripes or the black and red sash kits - trying to be another team (Milan) was bad enough, but wearing our rivals colour is a fucking huge no-no for me. I don't even have red sauce on my burger on a match day, never mind want my team wearing red!

People's responses to this leaked shirt goes to show that 90% of the time, only the negativity gets heard. For the last 3 seasons people have bitched and moaned about how the dark navy trim wasn't "city" etc. Now it looks like they are going to go back to white trim and people are up in arms about how ugly it is. I mean, it's a shirt, with a collar and a stripe down the side. Not sure how "horrid" that makes it. Seems pretty classic to me. Honestly, I am not chuffed that much between white trim or navy trim, white shorts or blue shorts. We have had all these combinations throughout our history.

It's the shield, it makes us look a bit cheap. Embroider the badge and we'll all get along.

Agree .but no expert but would it be possible to sow such a complicated badge onto that recycled plastic material Nike use ?.umbro ,rebock and let coq all used shields at some points.the later umbro shirts were more cotton based I think ?

Sure I read somewhere that herbert Kilpin who was from Nottingham and founded Milan designed the shirt and took the idea from city's kit at the time which was scarlet and black and Is reason why Milan has a cross on its badge as well

The cross is from the flag of Milan which is exactly the same as the cross of St George and has been used for centuries.

You never looked at the rags or mickeys shirt and felt a touch of envy? Red is such a go-ahead, vibrant colour whereas blue is a bit bland, a bit "meh".
