Hope he gets to play striker in the next 2 premier league games.

Probably a good chance too if Aguero and KdB are unfit.

I know Pep made the change in the 2nd half, but I hope he realizes how perfect that switch was between Jesus and Ferran, they BOTH played better when they swapped, let's see Jesus RW again.

Looking at other people‘s similar assessments over the course of this thread, whatever we expect or say about Torres’s future in the game, it won’t change the fact that for majority of the matches he’s played this season he’s been anonymous, bar a goal here and there.

Those that call a spade a spade show a lack of imagination...

Torres is young and may thus develop skills not presently in evidence. So I'll give him the benefit of doubt - keep Torres for another year or two to see how he develops.

At the same time - I'm not optimistic that he'll mature into a first-choice starter in our squad.

Not for me mate. The false 9 system for now works great. Next season i hope for a genuine 9. But at the mo we dont quite have one

He played some matches, he played shit. I said as much.

Why that’s some indication of how I felt his future would pan out, isn’t my interpretation.

Strange one - minutes to goal ratio is excellent but so many games where he has done nothing. Time will tell.

I seem to remember we had a striker who would sometimes barely see the ball then slot in a couple of goals and win the game. Serge somebody or other.

Guys, with all due respects.. good player, but one hattrick against a relegation zone team shouldn’t and mustn’t get you in the starting eleven of final..

except maybe zinchenko/cancelo and fern/rodri - all the other 9 players players have those places reserved and what’s more important they deserve it
