He played LW for Algeria yesterday or as a LWB in a back 5.

I think he is suited to the role we have given our LB with constantly overlapping and under lapping and being used more in attack than the RB.

I think the defensive issues won't be as much of an issue if we can get both Nico G and Rodri playing as better defensive cover for when he does that.

Anderson helps with that as well.

Nico has really dropped off last two games - looks very, very tired - could do with Nouri taking over from him for some games while hopfully getting a performance out of him too ....

In the first match against Sudan, he played 60 minutes and drew a red card from the opposition.

Today, he played the entire match against Burkina Faso. He won a penalty, which was taken and scored by Mahrez; it was the only goal of the match, a victory that qualifies Algeria for the round of 16 of the Africa Cup of Nations.

And there you have it - bought as a LB, and not a mention of any defensive prowess... (because he has none)
