22 | Vitor Reis - 2025/26 (on loan at Girona)

I guess we prefer Reis starting every week instead of being a backup to Khusanov and Ake. We will have Alleyne in the backup role.
Much as I like both players - Khus is still very rough in terms of decision making, and we just can't rely on Ake.
That CB pairing would be a huge issue for us, the only way I think it works is Nico G and Rodders in front of them but that has it's own issues in terms of burning players out
Be rough to bring Reis back, even if it's possible, though

No player is ever ready to play for City

Looks like something unique is happening at Manchester City which doesn’t happen anywhere footballing world outside
Not related to Reis but yeah this winds me up. We have a bench of some of the very best youngsters in the world, been here since they were at school, coached and developed exactly how we want but they dont get a sniff unless we are playing dog and duck in the FA cup.

yesterday wasn't working, Cherki and Foden were rubbish and not once did Pep look to try out Mukasa. We are making the academy hundreds of millions because clubs are fighting over our lads but we wont give them anytime at all.

What could Mukasa have possibly done worse than Cherki in the last 20m yesterday?

Going with Stones/ Ake/ Philipps has been a major problem for City. Together they're not even 1 squad player but take up 3 slots.

And on the bench we have academy kids who aren't trusted outside of real emergencies.

Really shocking squad building..

I'd rather use this season to teach Khusanov & Reis how to be our core CB's going forward rather than risk losing them because they don't get enough playtime.

We need another Pep "John Stones has more balls than anyone here" with the new guys.. where we back the next generation.

Looks a top player but I can see why we didn't recall him as opposed to Max.

Keep Girona from relegation and get regular minutes before seeing what I hope is serious minutes next season.

We're never recalling Reis. No way is he ready to come in for Gvardiol.

We need a proven international like Guehi.

Plus, it's not going to be a great look on CFG if we take Reis half way through the season.

We are already hated by another CFG club in Troyes for not giving them market value for Savinho when he got La Liga TOTS for Girona and got them CL. We should have paid £50m easily, but we gave Troyes £25m.

Can't argue with that mate.

This winds me up a bit. So they're upset that we didn't pay ourselves more money similar to Chelsea’s dealings with themselves.
CFG is the parent company, and maybe we're not being excellent shepherds of that club, but it is our club at the end of the day, and we're not pulling a Portsmouth. We're not asset stripping.

I agree, but the fans of those clubs want some sort of autonomy and agency for themselves and not just be a subordinate club for us.

The Strasbourg chairman is resigning apparently and taking Chelsea to court over Rosenior.

He wants multi club ownership banned under EU and UEFA law.

If we had Foden worth £50m but were owned by Real Madrid and they paid us £25m, many on here would want the ownership out.
