Would start Gvardiol before Dias at the moment , Ruben has been a stalwart for us but has had a recent dip in form , Gvardiol has been unfortunate and played out of position.Give him a few games in his natural/best position alongside a fully fit Stones and we will see how good he really is.

Needs to be playing in the middle, and given how soft the defence is right now, no reason not to.

Only thing Dias has to improve is choosing the right short pass sometimes he picks a pass where that player doesn't have a quick pass! Apart from that he has been great for us and every player has a dip in form he will come through that by playing him..

Josko comes across so well that it's difficult not to like him. Level-headed, mature, intelligent, well-spoken. It's easy to forget that missing a pre-season for a defender in our team is difficult, which is something that Josko talks about a little in his press conference. 100%. A real maturity about him and he'll thrive at City. He's had plenty of opportunities already, albeit from left back - probably a way of easing him in. A few errors, but you can see his class. I would imagine, going into the second half of the season we'll see him more frequently and next season he'll be our LCB and he most certainly could play that hybrid role in time - albeit generally we prefer doing it from the RCB position with Walker covering.

Last 20 minutes was superb I thought. Brave on the ball and especially with his right foot - he can produce through balls on his weak foot so accurately when the opposition aren’t expecting it. A great trait to have.

Good assist for Phil’s goal too.

Dias and Akanji especially made him also little uncomfy with the ball ,few missplaced passes to Grealish / Doku,but the second half oh my.

Can easily have 3 assists, respect his offansive part of the play

I thought he didn't do anything wrong in the 1st half and kept on trying, unlike most of the team. He really grew into it in the 2nd half, though, and played very well. Maybe we should try him in his natural LCB position with Ake as a LB? I really like the two of them next to each other, not one or another.

I doubt we’ll see it anytime soon but I’d love to see him as the left-sided centre back alongside Stones in a more conventional four at the back.

He was really solid, and deserves more praised. He could easily had 3 assists today, and compared to Akanji, Dias and Walker today(which is not to say much though), he looked like Maldini

He was the fastest CB in the Bundesliga at 34.57 km/h. Playing at LB makes him look slower. The problem will go away in time, though. He is learning the City way, and he is doing it fast.

Very accomplished player , new country , new league , new team mates , new tactics/system , not easy to settle into such a brilliant squad of players and the standards required , but he is doing fine , he will be first choice in our defence next season

His defending for their second was absolutely bobbins, but his passing in the second half got us going again.

Had an excellent second half. He couldn't do much about the carnage from Dias and Akanji in the first. Got lovely technique on the ball and his pass into Foden was brilliant.

I would like to see him at LCB with Ake at LB and Stones/Akanji at RCB. Ruben needs a reset.
