Kind of hope when we get another CB he doesn't, let him re-gain all of his DM mastery, he can partner and cover for Rodri well.

Fernandinho was immense in his natural defensive midfield position and protected the back 4 brilliantly; if Pep ever plays him at centre back again, it will be beyond ridiculous; imagine how much better last season would have been if Fern had not been shunted around....

Brilliant. Even more frustrating now that he wasn’t played there more last season especially when Garcia was playing centre half. Still the best of our 3 defensive midfielders.

Has there been a better 35 year old central midfield player?
Should never ever play at CB as he’s too class at his proper position. Seeing him and Rodri at CDM was great today.

He was good. Gave the ball away a fair bit but did a very good job plugging holes. Solid 7/10 performance from him
