What doesn't he have?

He's fast, good with both feet, good size, reads the game well, etc...

He just lacks that bit of... nastiness/stinginess that you want out of your CB.

It's something that can't be taught either IMO. You either have it or you don't.

Could see it well from the away end tonight. Absolutely not a midfielder. Can’t turn. Can’t play the right ball. Absolutely dross whenever on the ball. Another example of a player who’s being set up to fail right now.

His enigma just makes it even more frustrating. I like him. A snip at £15m and has all the traits to be brilliant.

Thank you. As I said, If he had Dias's personality- he'd be incredible.

I still rate him more than most and think Pep is asking FAR too much of the likes of him and Stones, but he does always leaves me wanting more.

One thing that irked me.

There was a corner for Villa in the 1st half that they came very close to scoring, if not for the attacker heading it out wide, it was almost point-blank. The way Akanji defended that was embarassing, didn't even challenge, just ducked like there was a bird flying over.

Certainly not been the worst player, or defender, recently, but he’s not a City central midfielder, no matter how hard Pep tries to shoehorn him into the side.

Too slow of thought. That’s his problem. Some of his passing out from the back has been so risky recently. Personally he would be out of the side now. This midfield experiment isnt working.
