Was getting slagged off in the first half on Twitter, i thought he did a good job all things considering. We are struggling with that control type player, something that Gundo was a master at, and Akanji struggled at times not having someone to bounce it off in the first half.

How anyone could slag his performance off is laughable. He made great passes all night and should have had the match-winning assist for KDB.

Brilliant again last night. Better in the 2nd half but by no means poor in the 1st. When he is dispossessed or doesn’t make a KDB or david silva pass, remind yourself that its a defender playing intricate football on the edge of the opposite box! Well played Manuel

Dunno what people saw in him last night. He slowed us down every time he picked the ball up. He's a class defender but he can't do that Stones role.
