I've said this before, but he's the absolute perfect example of a player who you point to and shows why mentality is such an essential trait in a player. Don't get me wrong, I love his game and realise his importance, but as you said, he's not switched on all the time and is sometimes not near aggressive enough for me.

However, you take this downside, as his pace and other abilities are essential to our backline.

Agreed. He never helped Gvardiol either. Seemed to minimise his movement as much as possible, which isn’t like him.
