it's crazy how people can have short memories, be blind or pretend to be blind.
Mahrez this year has 5 goals and 6 assists in the Premier League for only 995mn and 11 games as a starter, adding to this 3 pens obtained and which have been converted, he is also behind at least 5 goals by giving the penultimate pass in the right tempo for de bryune or for Walker especially at the start of the season.
In the champions league, he has 1 goal and 4 assists in 5 games.
In total, he scored 6 goals and gave 10 assists in 1440 minutes played between the two competitions (PL and CL), and 1640 minutes by adding his two games in the EFL Cup.
And just for a comparison, Bernardo silva scored 5 goals (Hatrick vs Watford) and 6 assists in 1879mn, de bruyne 7 goals and 14 assists in 2047mn.
He has had an excellent half of the season with reduced time compared to some others, and has an excellent and real connection with kevin which works well, creates a lot of chances, being behind several goals.
After a while you have to stop veiling your face and admit that he is excellent and show him the respect he deserves and the support he deserves instead of pointing only at what he does wrong.

So far I think Mahrez is too inconsistent. And tbh thats about the only aspect in his game he needs to improve.

Welcome, I'm guessing you support Riyad not City, and its highly unlikely that you have/will ever visit Manchester to watch City (with or without Riyad), and before you call me a "hater", he's had my vote on here for "Man of the Match" in 2 of the last 3 games.

People post opinions, and Riyad has been nothing but inconsistent whilst at City, and this reflected in the fact he can't hold down a regular place in Pep's side, and I hope he plays again tomorrow.

You'll have to explain to me what's "nasty" about what I wrote, the poster is a Riyad "fanboy" judging from his post (his first), who is only interested in highlighting the bad comments about Riyad, whilst ignoring the many good ones. This is a thread to discuss Riyad's performances, which are at best inconsistent, yet he chose to "compare" to other players, if Riyad has a bad game then just like every other player, its likely to be commented on.

Without middle eastern investments do you think Mahrez would even consider playing in Manchester dressed in blue? (Except in away games) You need a fanbase outside of Greater Manchester to sustain the project.
