He put in a few good balls on the left too. It's clear to me that with Kev out Pep wants him to be the deep lying playmaker as another to create while Gundo floats into the box. I do think that because he's so gifted he thinks he can get away with nutmegging and fancy flicks at times. I feel he just needs to do the simple things at times and that can help cut out the blunders.
