I'm sorry but...

WHAT is the point of having three CM's on the pitch at the same time?

Johnson cant be relied on to get us out of danger every week, I suspected the Chelsea game was a freak result and todays game proved me right.

Mancini is not the answer. We're going backwards under him.

I've not said this under any manager we've had and ive been going since 1989

i can see the positives in any manager we have, but I really struggle to find any under Mancini

even under hughes, watching city used to be fun, nowdays its like a death sentance

This isnt a slagging but what the feck is going on with Mancini;s tactics???? this cost us the game today starting with Zaba,Barry and De Jong we had no creativity what so ever in the first half, if we had started the game like the 2nd half we would of got the win today

Please bobby sort it out well 4th place is still in our hands

You preferred the Pearce era then? Or going to COMS to watch us draw with Burnley, Hull etc FFS? He got them playing second half and we should have won that if Gordon wasn't playing a blinder.

Re: I'm sorry but...

8 shots on target according to my sky sports app, is it Mancinis fault only 1 went in?

shows how much you know. RM is easily the most decorated manager we have employed in this period. Suggesting that Ball, Machin, Reid, Royle, Clarke,Pearce, Hughes (do I need to continue?) are better is frankly delusional on your part and you should get help immediately.

Did you even watch the game, I was at the game and we played with 3x Midfielders. Only one (DeJong) was a defensive midfielder, dont believe what you see on Champ Manager you chump.

Also by the end of the game we had about 5-6 attacking players on the pitch, so try to think before opening you cram hole.

Ferguson has this sussed. Against the big teams, he invariably goes into games with 3 central midfielders and Rooney up top. Against the lesser lights, he tends to play Rooney and Berbatov. Mancini would do well to learn from this imo.

Yes hes decorated but...

this was in Italy, in a league a shadow of its former self

and he won all his medals when the match fixing scandal was going on and all the main rivals got weakened or relegated

I rest my case. Not saying he isnt class cause he obviously is, but its not working out in England for him.<br /><br />-- Sun Mar 14, 2010 9:26 pm --<br /><br />

Yes I watched the game and I never said defensive midfielders, I said CM's = centre midfielders, three of them in the same midfield when we were crying out for someone like Ireland who can create a pass out of nothing? not just a tackler

thats my gripe... and ive never played this championship manager so dont even know what you're on about.

.....But yet Mancini is a tactical genius when we beat Chelsea 4-2 with 3 Defensive Midfielders

Peoples opinions change every week about Mancini on this f*cking forum!

We were no better when RSC came on and we had two in the middle.

It's not always tactics, if players underperform like ours did in the first half it doesn't really matter how you line up.

and id like it to be known that i never started this thread with the title "3 defensive MF players against Sunderland", so if thats why people are having a go at me then I'm sorry, but it wasnt me who wrote that

My thread title was called "Im sorry but..."<br /><br />-- Sun Mar 14, 2010 9:30 pm --<br /><br />

I never said that, i knew it was a lucky result and that it'd be proved the next away game

and sadly I was right

playing a right back as a 3rd defensive mid player against a shite team ;like sunderland was taking the piss really, if he wanted 3 def mid players then why not put vieira in fer zab? anyhow....not a bad result in the end as we're still in the driving seat fer 4th but just disapointing when you think that if we'd played a more attacking formation then we'd have had ourselves 3 pts today.

If you watched the game you will realise the problem was we couldnt pass for toffee, headed back to the opposition, wernt picking up the sunderland players and were generally sloppy in the first half.

Can you explain to me how playing with Ireland rather than sed midfielder would have recitified this problem? Irelands been guilty of all of the above on several occassions he's played this year, he hasnt had a good game all season.

Tend to agree but who would you play - and please dont say Ireland as he has looked shit all season

I take it Ferguson and Wenger are both tactically inept too? I mean we got as good a result as one and better than the other.

Not every game is a walk in the park ffs.
