3 england players

if you could include 3 england players from your lifetime into this years world cup squad, who would you choose?? they would of course be in their prime. i imagine this would be easier for the older bluemooners who could go for moore, bell, greaves, banks etc. i'm 31 so have to choose from the first tournament i remember (mexico '86) onwards. i immediately thought of lineker to partner rooney. however, thinking about it more i decided on
1. peter shilton (to give us a proven, consistant goalkeeper).
2. des walker (class in his day and would provide much needed pace at the back).
3. paul gascoigne (i feel we are lacking 'magic' in the midfield)

go on, what would you suggest?? (england haters need not post)

With the squad we have at the moment; A top defender that means Bobby Moore. Joe is great and will not let us down if selected unlike the other two Keepers therefore Gordon Banks. Midfield isn't too bad. So the third player would be Gary Lineker.

I'd still be asking Scholes to come out of retirement for this world cup, fantastic little player unfortunately, and caused us no end of problems this season with his passing.
