I have to say that Pepe produced one of one of the worst displays I have ever seen yesterday. Alongside that clown even Father Ruben couldn't perform a miracle.

Felt sorry for Dias surrounded by absolute clowns in defence and a midfield that couldnt tackle a decent breakfast , shocking defensive performance by Portugal.

WTF was up with Portugal's defense against Germany? I haven't reviewed the game enough to reach any solid conclusions - but the simple fact that Germany scored 4 times - 4 times!!!! - with numerous other chances - indicates that there were huge problems for Portugal on defense.

Portugal might now not even advance to the knockout stages.

Portugal were my 2nd favorite side behind France to win the Euros at the start of the competition - now - no way.

Italy are my current favorite - with France/Belgium/whoever a distant 2nd.

He's been poor this tournament, it's important we keep Laporte as we'll need to rotate a lot next season.

You could put Franco Baresi next to Semedo and Pepe and he'd look like Tal Ben-Haim. Doesn't help that Portugal's midfield put zero pressure on Pogba, who for all his inconsistency and general extreme cuntitude, can still play a perfect through ball when given all day to do it

I agree their defence is shite but for the goal in question last night it was basic lack of pace on the turn and purely down to Ruben

Quite good today in a very average attacking performance from Portugal, nothing he could of done about the goal. Actually don't mind this, lad's played nonstop, can finally get good rest and get ready for next season.

Yeah he was fine today, couple of shaky moments against Lukaku (expected tbh) but thought he was quite good for the final 15-20 minutes. Gets a much needed rest now after a faily disappointing tournament. Wonder how much of an influence that undeserved booking in the first game was. He had to spend basically the entirety of the group stage + this game trying to avoid suspension.
