30 | Claudio Echeverri - 2025/26 (on loan at Leverkeusen)

We have no idea what is true and what is not true.
Journalist creates a story, aggregators feed it.
Don't comment on any transfers until they are completed and announced then. You had better tell Ric so that he can shut down the Transfer Forum as so much of it is speculation.

Don't like what is being said, try to make someone feel stupid just for mentioning it seems to be the order of the day mate.

Speculation:

The forming of a theory or conjecture without firm evidence.
"there has been widespread speculation that he plans to quit"

Another example is:

Don't believe everything you read!

Which IMHO is one of the most stupid statements given and it means something entirely different to the way it sounds, what it really means and always has done is believe what I read and your opinion means nothing.

That's a fair point, though we can also learn to disseminate probable fact rather than the utter frothing at the mouth goolies that we see all too often. There are some journalists that we know are more reliable than others. Aggregators choose EVERYTHING, and the more bilious the better because it feeds engagement.

You've got to admit that watching people explain to other people that the stuff they get from the media is useless drivel whilst the stuff they get is straight from the ITK zone.

Don't believe everything you read unless it's what I read :)

Absolutely - very few of us get information first hand, so we all have to make our own decisions about who we trust and who we don’t trust.

That wasn’t really the point I was making though.

It’s the melodrama in the reactions we’re now seeing more regularly on here that reeks of the level of infantile hysteria that’s standard order on most social media channels, Twitter being the worst offender.

The format is all targeted at engagement, so it pays to make extreme statements to provoke either way.

You can see the posters who spend too much time on those channels a mile off, as they come across like a four year old in a tantrum - yelling their brand of intransigent, absurdist nonsense like it’s some sort of deeply evidenced fact when in reality it’s little more than a barely formed, reactive opinion.

It’s sad, as this place used to be a bit more conversant - rather than a platform for a bunch of ill-informed trolls yelling at each other with no middle ground.

Let's just see what happens. Media are constantly kite flying with negative City stories, particularly promising young star leaving and this one has got people ticking.
I don't see City being pushed around by anyone as is being portrayed.

In short?

You don't believe that the scouse have had the best transfer window of all time and that when we lose our 115 case we'll be hosting Macclesfield in the 4th iteration of the inter-league Inter Toto cup?

Fuck you!

Liverpool have aced this window, and City are a fucking embarrassment.

If you can’t see that, I’m blocking you.

Might as well give them the title now.

I’m sick of this fucking Club.

This one’s on Pep/Txiki.

Fuck me, someone normal on here at last.

You're not playing along, you will now be taken to PL HQ and served up as a sacrifice.

For me, the melodrama ramped up when our season started nose-diving last autumn. It really seems like people are struggling with us not being completely ace for a little while.

But the utter capitulation around rumours or 'what could have beens' is something else this calendar year - think the Church of Bobb, sell Foden immediately and latterly Khusanov and the potential loans of Reis and Echeverri, players we have zero idea are good enough or ready. I admit there's a growing sense of younger players finding it very hard to get in the first XI, but Bobb and Echeverri were/are vaunted as if they are Ballon D'Or winners or something.

Maybe everybody needs to stop engaging with the trolls and only reply to posts that have a modicum of sense attached ……I know I’ve been guilty of biting at times though not a regular poster so maybe that’s a lesson learnt for me

It's much more complicated than that, dismantling a squad winning trebles and 4 in a row full of highly paid players on contracts isn't as easy as you think.
where did I mention anything about that? I'm clearly referring to the specific case of echeverri and gündogan.

Why doesn’t he want to play for us ? wtf is going on atm as we are starting to look like a club that just buys and sells young players . If he goes on loan for season then comes back that’s ok but anything other is making us look like we can’t hang on to players and any young player will be wise to swerve us .
No idea. Follow back the conversation I was having with franksinatra as he’s the one that came up with it.

This lad looks better than any of the other youngsters we’ve purchased with a view to selling, and by a distance. I could just about understand a loan deal (as opposed to actually giving him a few run outs at City), but selling him for a poxy £33m? Not for me
I wouldn’t be too concerned mate. I can’t imagine we would allow him to go out on loan with an option to buy.
