Much as I love Carson and his contributions to the squad, I would like to see some academy keepers pushing into the first team squad.

I think the club see it the other way. There's no point tying down a promising academy keeper to the first team in a role (3rd choice keeper) that will play 0 games.
Carson is essentially a goalkeeping coach who gets paid a bit more to stay in playing condition.

That's brilliant news. Pep loves him, he's the old head in the changing room with the experience and is a good role model for the youngsters coming through plus I've heard he's a bit of a joker in there.

I see where you are coming from but the likes of Bazunu and Trafford left initally on loans and then were sold to get gametime.
He seems to be a fashion disciple of the Village People.
I’m at a van festival next to Shrewsbury, there was an absolute legend walking round with a ‘Carson 33’ top on.
Seen another adult and a couple of kids in City tops.
One van had a United flag, but that’s it.
And zero Liverpool- which was nice.
Saying that I’ve probably got covid, with symptoms,so have hardly moved from van since Friday night :-(
Mrs JASR says she still loves me, but was tempted to kill me at 7am this morning with my coughing…
Seen another adult and a couple of kids in City tops.
