I use VLC for everything and it's never failed, however I have a 3D .mkv file which I'd like to try out on my 3D TV to see if it looks any good. I opened the file on my laptop first just to see what it would look like, and it shows up playing two of the same images side by side, like a mirror image.

Surely this can't be correct? I've not put it through the TV yet, but I can't see how that would make any difference. Shouldn't it look all green and red like?

Any advice welcome :)

Found this on tinterweb....

Apparently, you cant play .mkv 3D movie via streaming or plugging it directly to your TV. Was pulling my hair out looking for answer in the internet, in the end the good old lappy solved the problem. The way to run downloaded 3D movie for Bravia TV : 1. Download a Side-By-Side(SBS) or Over-Under 3D movie in any format ( Any other 3D movie format havent been tried lol) 2. Connect your PC via HDMI to your computer 3. Run the movie via any player eg VLC or Media Player ( the movie will be displayed with 2 screens or overlapping as an indicator) 4. Turn on your 3D mode on your TV remote to SBS or Over-Under Mode 5. PROFIT!!!! Good Luck.
