Pellegrini brought in because Mancini was a hot head who couldn't do it in Europe. What is concerning me is that we don't look any better than we did in our first season.

Our fixtures are hard yes, but look at PSG tonight taking the fight to Barcelona.

So, what are the issues? Personally I think Kompany has never looked assured in Europe. I remember him ducking out of Ronaldo's shot away at Madrid. Yaya is a passenger too often.

I don't buy that the ref effected the game tonight, we need to look at ourselves and I have no idea what is wrong. What can be done to rectify it.

Tonight we didn't man mark Totti, how naïve do you have to be? I think we need more pace and urgency in this team. Pjanic and Pogba in to replace Yaya please.

Nope, this looks like 2012 all over again.

With Yaya in the team we just don't have agile enough midfield to compete with better European sides. In England it's all about physical challenge and most of teams are scared to have a go but just sit back and defend for their life, but in Europe with teams with lot of fast technical players there is no chance in hell we can challenge with Yaya rhere.

Last season was encouraging but it is back to the same old shite,

No improvement apart from getting an easier group last year. But thats hardly our own improvement.

We've lost any sort of momentum now. The draw killed us. Nowhere near over yet but tonight was yet another dour night for us in the CL

No. We got through last year because it was virtually impossible not to. Every year bar last, we have had a tough pot 4 team, yet look an average team against them.

We haven't progressed at all. Which is a damning indictment of our coaching in those 4 seasons. Mancini was poor in the CL, and Pellegrini is showing no signs of being any better.Don't know what our owners make of it. I would guess that when they took over, they'd have been expecting us to make a better effort in the CL four seasons in the competition.

No matter who we play against I think we have shown we don't really even belong in the top pots. (CHAMPIONS of each league should still be in the top pot though)

Pains me to say it but you are probably right, not going five in midfield after the the good hiding we got off Munich is incredibly naive.
