40 goals a season striker - Are there any?

Go and get Harry Kane.

Hopefully if he’s injured Aguero might not be and vice versa.

If not, Haaland.

Spurs may need to cash in due to their financial situation which is only going to get worse short term at least.

I wouldn't mind Son either.
 
All the players being suggested look good playing for teams who don't face 10 man defence most weeks, spurs have acres of room for likes of Kane and son to attack into because teams they face come out and play. Imo
 
I’d have kane in a breath, 40 goals a season from him with the chances we create & miss, he’d have a field day with us & he’s winning fuck all at spurs so he’d come i reckon?

I’d have to agree with your post, for 2 maybe 3 seasons now this has been an issue for me with Raz and more recently since he got into the team, Mahrez, both constantly slowing our play down and instead of timing and executing the killer pass to Agüero which sees us a lot of the time, end thatgame, they dither, taking 4/5 touches while they get crowded and the opposition defence just gets back in shape. The moment is gone. It happens 5/6 times a game, while the best striker in PL history has broke his bollax to find space and angle a run, not good enough from our wide players .

And as well as injuries I think this had taken some goals off Serge’s overall potential total and of course, the team’s in general. Some games it goes unnoticed cos we win, but it still frustrates the sh!t out of me. And the the recycling will lead to Mendy delivering another atrocious cross into the box to nobody but the oppo centre half, generally hit with much the same venom if he trying to hit the six yard box, or if he’s making a pass to Spanish Dave 4 yards away, the weight of his pass is often misjudged, too heavy in the final third to soft and lazy when we’re being pressed around the half way line.

these guys need to be more intelligent with the link up and delivery. Think quicker, cos it’s the same laborious shit each time, Raz has scored a lot of goals, and is most certainly a very important player for us, but he’s not beating played this season, he’s just running into them all wavey arms as he goes down looking for a foul. It’s a shite tactic considering our playing ability as a team. and he’s not making enough through balls much like Mahrez. This is one of the main reasons we haven’t killed games off this season.

Mahrez isn’t gonna change. He came from Leicester who played on the break and relied hugely on Vardy’s pace to get the results. That’s not how we play and it’s not how the opposition set up to play against us. So he needs to have a good fucking look at himself, he’s not gonna cut in and score every game either. Not even every second game unfortunately.

They need to be smarter and less selfish.

Mendy I think might be done, passing isn’t good enough, can’t stay switched on for 90 mins, attacking or defending. Let’s the ball away over the sideline far to often cos he’s just so relaxed about his play, or his positional sense isn’t clicking in, or he hasn’t properly read the pass: we dint make 5/6 passing errors a game like that when he doesn’t play. And it rarely happens on the right. Usually when something gone a bit loose on the left, it’s come from him. He Gives too many hospital passes to our Mids, half the time I’m hoping they come out of the challenge let alone hold any expectation that they can work their magic with the ball. I’ve held back on this lad on here but I think he’s had enough time now to settle in after injury, he’s played around 50 PL games if I’m not mistaken. He’s fucking gash, gimmie Terry Phelan any day.

Sorry for the rant, also a few beers in I’ve just realised I’m in a striker thread and kinda came back around to the point.. haha sorry lads. I suppose what I’m saying is a fit Sergio Agüero with better service from this 3 would be closer to 40 a season the way we play.
