40 goals a season striker - Are there any?

I sometimes think in this league we need two types of striker: one like Aguero who comes out for the games against the teams at the top and another one who's needed to tap them in against the whipping boys at the bottom. We just try so hard to complicate it at times when sometimes it just needs a poacher. I always think of the Goat - he didn't have any tricks, no dribbles, poor control... the only thing he could do was score goals. I'd love to see someone like that at the club.

I'm not a fan of Kane to be honest, he will cost a fortune and has had quite a few bad injuries.

I'd keep Aguero for another year, Jesus as well but I'd like to see some more strikers brought in. I don't know who's available but I'd look for a Goater/Defoe type player just to finish some of the chances we create. Someone we can rely on to slap the likes of Watford.

We also need someone who is TOP class one - Mbappe/Aubameyang/Martinez etc, even Vardy.

I'd also like to see someone come in who offers us a proper wildcard "Plan B". I don't know who's available but someone who can win headers is needed. I've no idea who that could be, but someone like Andy Carroll or Giroud who can at least get their head on a cross. We need something different than loads of technical midgets!

When Barça were scoring this amount of goals, each of their front 3 were scoring 35+ (with Messi getting 50+). We get excited and think it’s great when we have 3 with 20+, but with the amount of chances we create and the amount of goals we score that’s actually very poor.

I’m not sure our front players, Agüero aside, are as good as we think they are. Agüero just doesn’t stay fit enough of the time to end up with 40 but he would every season if he did stay fit (although he does miss a fair amount of chances).

The rest are just nowhere near clinical enough for this club. If they want to be here in the next few years they’re all going to have to work on their finishing with both feet and fucking work hard at it! Because I think there’ll be some huge moves in and out in the coming years for us!

If Aguero stayed fit, he'd score around 40 most seasons - he's a genius. All the great strikers miss one or two - but Aguero doesn't miss many.
 
40!? In the league or all comps? Either way that’s a big extreme.

Haaland is looking like a real talent at the moment. Clubs might want to take a chance on him sooner than later to save having to fork out triple digit millions to buy him later down the line.
