Foden needs to play in some big games
United or spurs would be a good start this week
David Silva has had two good games in about 20 against villa and Fulham
Leagues gone so perfect time to give foden 5 or 6 games in a row
Players like sancho maduson and grealish are no better but they play every week

Madison is a lot better than Foden right now.

Sorry I disagree, this is a forum to discuss opinions on our club. Every fan is entitled to an opinion and I fully respect Karen's opinion, in fact I enjoy reading her posts. I simply asked her opinion on how many games she thinks Foden has to start to substantiate her thoughts that he will take over form Silva in 4mths time. 14 games left is not many considering he has only played 250 odd minutes in the previous 24 games this season?

Karen said he would be taking over Silva's role at the end of the season, Pep hasn't said this as far as I am aware? Personally I have some big doubts given the amount of time he plays in the PL at present?

My point is whatever Foden's future is Pep is a far better judge on how to get there.

Pep doesn't have any duty to City or Foden beyond the next year or so. His only concern is the immediate future.

Foden was great in the port vale game, he was a bit iffy in the last one. With more games he will become more consistent I am positive about that. Either way he'll get the full time gig or move on to a side that can play him week in week out, this infatuation with local players when we have collectively accepted the global brand with international players is a confusing ethos.

Foden is a young player with hardly any experience at first team level. Expecting him to be like Messi every time he turns out is unrealistic.
Replacing Silva? That's a tall order for any player. Even if you brought someone in for £80m it wouldn't be guaranteed.
We'll just have to wait and see, won't we?

Don't agree with this, Pep will not be at City (most likely) beyond next season, he does not have any real need to try and develop Foden.

At the U21 Euros last year Foden looked a class above Maddison (and Mount for that matter).
