there is no one way to dribble. both ways are effective. but like I said Foden's dribbling is most effective form inside to outside while Jack's is most effective from outside to inside.

He needs to find his shooting boots again because that will really elevate him from the pack, but otherwise he is only 1 or 2 performances in prime time games before he's getting Ballon d'Or shouts from across Europe.

totally agree, many city fans will say Foden is our best player. He might not be putting in the best performances but really thats because he is so good he isnt playing in any one position. He's being used to fill gaps because he can reliably play pretty much anywhere in the front 6.
In a season or two when he gets that little bit more experience and he makes a position how own he will take off to new levels. we are so lucky.
 
dribbling is overrated look at KDB
simple touches play fast pass/cross in perfect timing and you have a world class midfielder

Not right now, but maybe in the future.

I think he is obviously a great finisher, but lacks the positioning awareness strikers develop, I think he usually scores cutting in from the right.

He also seems kind of lazy, and doesn't have the hussle a striker in our system would need.

But again, with his age, I would 100% take a prospect like him no doubt. But he's at United so fuck him lol.

This highlights reel is like when you see YouTube compilations of talented South American’s destroying average players in their native countries leagues before they get plucked and put in a top European league where they realise they won’t get away with that shit anymore. You literally never see any fucker flair dribbling like that in the premier league.. why? Because you have to be really special to do it. He’s so very, very talented.

He’s still testing the water as to what he can do and is growing in confidence as he gets more experience at this level. Due to his age and current physicality, I see at least another two noticeable jumps in his performs levels. And he’s already one of the best players in the league as it is imo. He could very easily go on to be the best player the premier league era has seen.

I think ive watched every game hes ever played for the first team and watching that video just reminded me how fucking good he is.

I think I sometimes dont give him enough credit. Phil is from the academy, he grew up a city fan and the fact he is even being mentioned in the conversation with the best players in the world is incredible. Feels like the Jimmy Grimble story come to life.

tbh he has more similarity to spanish dribblers. he is mostly no nonsense silky smooth mover gliding across the pitch. Iniesta is a apt comparison. south american dribbling are more about trickery and stuff but its less effective

I do agree though he has couple more levels to reach in his career.

He’s living the dream of thousands of City fans, of every age. Who’s the last born and bred City fan to make it? Paul Lake? And that was tragically short-lived.

Which was the last generation of City fans to see a blue blooded boy at the heart of a quality City side? Are we going back to the Mercer/Allison era?

Greenwood is really suffering from Solskjaer's mismanagement.

He is one of the lowest work rate forwards in the league. Even United fans accept he's lazy like it's just a matter of fact.

When was the last time you heard about a top prospect at a big club being a lazy presser who doesn't run? It just doesn't happen any more. Solskjaer is treating him like he was treated as a young player in 1995 when your clinical finisher was allowed to just walk around until the chance dropped to him.

He's obviously an extremely gifted finisher, but he's lost 3 years of learning to work off the ball and develop other areas of his game.

Palmer was technically the last.

But obviously not reached close to Phil’s levels yet.

A rag I know used to laugh when the club said they want Mancunians coming through the ranks into the first team, not heard him mention it in the pub for a while, wonder why?
