He's gone from being a fan favourite to being compared with a rapist in the span of twelve months. Extraordinary.
Phil is still very much a fan favourite, and Mason Greenwood isn't a rapist. They obviously will have a few things in common, but the one under discussion here is that neither seems to be the sharpest tool in the box.

Try to keep up and stop stirring shit that isn't there.

What have I missed regarding our philly and a incident in Iceland ?

A bit of a knobhead, obviously - cheating on his girl, breaking quarantine rules during the height of covid, staying up late into the night when he's got England training the next day and is looking to establish himself in the team...

Mostly it reads like the actions of a stupid kid. It happens once, you apologise, you don't do it again. My main worry would be if he hasn't learned from that incident and is still acting in the same sorts of ways.

Think you're taking me a bit too seriously there mate.

Regardless, I still think it's still pretty daft to compare him to Mason "isn't a rapist" Greenwood.

One has, to our knowledge, done nothing worse than cheat on his missus.

The other is a known domestic abuser, at the very least.

Was what I posted incorrect?
Years of examples of players not in good form starting games under Pep, who seemingly didn’t need to earn their opportunity.

Mahrez didn’t seem to have to earn his opportunity after his terrible form to start the season nor Bernardo recently.

So why does Foden?

Maybe because of injury, training, off field issues. Who knows?

I responded to a poster who simply said play him

So you think that 'cheating on your missus' isn't domestic abuse?

It is, and furthermore, it also demonstrates a lack of loyalty and integrity and disrespects his wife and children.

Just because he's a very good footballer, it doesn't mean he's an honourable man. He is what he is.

Don't try to polish a turd.
